Parent Curriculum

As part of our intensive Family Program, parents join their child through a therapeutic growth process that mirrors his or her experience and is a critical part of Second Nature’s Nature-Based Family Therapy program. Parents are encouraged to "do their own work," as well as join their child in a number of key assignments and shared readings around core program principles and skills. The parent curriculum includes a wealth of written material, podcasts, videos, and assignments that enable family members to better understand their child's journey and to contribute to the therapeutic growth of the entire family system.

Parent Portal

Second Nature families have 24-hour access to a private and secure Parent Portal. The Parent Portal provides connection, support, and resources throughout the student’s stay, such as:

• New photos taken throughout the week of the daily life, students, and the instructors working with them in the field.
• Weekly uploads of letters from the student to their family
• A library of Second Nature audio casts, books, as well as the Parent Curriculum
